Stressing over the price of gasoline?

By Mary DeSilva

Have you noticed a lot of SUV’s, Hummers and other gas guzzlers are slowing  down on the highways?  I clocked an Escalade doing 45 in the middle lane on I95 in Mamaroneck.  The last time I filled up, I was next to a guy who was putting $10 in his Navigator -  I guess bigger isn’t always better.

Imagine filling up in your own backyard and NOT paying close to $5 a gallon…

After a bit of research, it looks like my Sentra needs no conversion kit to run on an ethanol blend, but if it did, it’s a simple process:

I found this tribute to Tim Russert on Try To Be Amused:

“One of the finest broadcast journalists and political analysts passed away yesterday, at the age of 58.  Perhaps most well known as the long time moderator of NBC’s “Meet The Press,” Tim Russert brought the news and views of the world of politics into our homes every week.  His easy going manner and way of simplifying the most complicated of issues made him a favorite of viewers across the country.  Besides his trailblazing work on television, Tim Russert, who started out as a lawyer,  was also a best selling author.  Our condolences to his family and colleagues.  He will be terribly missed.”
