Right now, you’re probably up to your elbows with planning, shopping, and stocking up for the holidays, so I’ve found a couple of “not your average” items to make gift giving efficient and fun this season.
For the men in your life who are confounded by spa treatments or high end skin care products there’s the “Every Man
Jack” line of face, body, and hair care. It boasts “straightforward and masculine products that men wouldn’t be embarrassed to buy, use or talk about.” Their Tea Tree Body Bars were an Esquire magazine Grooming Award Winner for 2007. The products are handsomely scented, packaged, and priced from $5 to $12, so you can afford to spread a lot of love around. If online shopping isn’t your thing, the “Every Man Jack” line of products is available at a Target store near you.
Is your guy a computer geek? Is he always on the search for Wi-Fi? Celebrate his geekiness and help him stay connected with the Wi-Fi
Detector Shirt from ThinkGeek. It features a light-up Wi-Fi detector on the front – the antenna and bars graphic – to indicate signal strength. When it detects a hot spot, the graphic glows blue and blinks, alerting him to the signal and everyone else to his geekiness. Batteries (three triple AAA) not included, of course, but it is washable. Priced at $29.99, you could get one for every computer geek on your holiday list.
On a serious note, let’s not forget the brave men and women of our nation’s military who can’t be home for the holidays. There are several good websites that will ship care packages and cards to our troops overseas. Any Soldier, Treat Any Soldier, Treats For Troops, and Military Care Packages all offer pre-packaged or build it yourself packages to send to our men and women serving overseas and at home. For those who want information try Operation Military Pride for answers and solutions regarding what to ship, how to ship and when to ship.
Happy shopping and thanks for listening:)
